  • The Wild Coast Sun Country Club, rated 7th, has a truly spectacular view of the sea and surrounding countryside. With ravines and waterfalls to contend with, the course offers the golfer an exciting challenge.
  • Selborne Country Club, rated 34th is an hour's drive from South Coast Cottages. It was originally a dairy farm, and is now one of the finest courses in the country.

  • Southbroom Golf Club, rated 62nd, winds its way through the village of Southbroom. Flanked by the sea and a nature reserve, it is a golfing experience not to be missed. www.southbroomgolfclub.co.za

  • Umdoni Park Golf Club, rated 65th, is close by Selborne. Set in 200 hectares of indigenous coastal forest, this is one of the hidden gems of the Golf Coast.
  • Margate Country Club is situated slightly inland on high ground, and is beautifully lush all year round.
  • Port Shepstone Country Club has two very different nines. The first is well wooded while the second is more open and closer to the links-type course.
  • Port Edward Country Club offers a short but testing 9-hole course with coastal and inland views.
